Kara has been approved by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners since 2014 to provide clinical supervision towards licensure hours. I have several years’ experience overseeing interns and associate-level therapists in agency and small private practice settings.

I can oversee the following types of licensees for general supervision:

• LAMFT/LMFT

• LAC/LPC

• LMSW/LCSW

I am also approved to provide clinical supervision for independently licensed therapists on a Consent Agreement with the Board, as well as Supervised Private Practices.

PLEASE NOTE - Supervised Private Practices must be overseen by a supervisor with a license in your specific discipline. This means that I am only able to provide SPP oversight to an LAMFT supervisee.

As a clinical supervisor, I offer a thorough and current understanding of Board rules & statutes. I expect supervisees to be organized, consistent, and communicative - but not perfect! I always want to be a safe resource for questions big and small. Many of my former supervisees still reach out with staffings, questions, or just to vent - which I welcome. I will require supervisees to review the Board website monthly, to gain a comprehensive understanding of Board rules & statutes, and to maintain the highest level of ethics in their practice. My favorite supervisee is one who takes their work incredibly seriously and makes the time to run an organized caseload - including coordination of care, documentation, and clear evidence of treatment modalities being used.

Sam Barrons - Winding Trails Psychotherapy

Sam offers virtual sessions and serves the state of Arizona. Sessions are self-pay, $120 per session for individuals and $140 per session for couples. No insurance. He offers sessions Monday - Thursday.

Sam specializes in treating the LGBTQ+ population, transgender population, and those with relational issues.

Sumita Punia - Saffron Counseling

Sumita offers both in-person and virtual sessions in the Arizona West Valley, Verrado area. Sessions are self-pay, $125 per session. No insurance. She offers sessions during the work week with evening and weekend flexibility.

Sumita is bilingual and is fluent in Hindi!

Sumita specializes in kids, teens, and families. She offers play therapy and has a wonderful office filled with great toys and tools.

Jeremy Scataglini - The H.U.G. Therapy Center

Jeremy offers virtual sessions in Arizona. Sessions are self pay, $150 per session and he does not take insurance. He offers sessions M-W from 9-4. Jeremy specializes in Emotionally Focused Therapy and treating couples.

Jeremy is bilingual and speaks Spanish!
